Ton's Sulfcasting Fishing Reels Spinning Reel GH7000 12+1bb

$45.99

Daiwa | SS TOURNAMENT® LONG CAST REELS

I get very nervous about the one touch handles. The casting is just that... A casting and is therefore susceptible to breakage. I wish Zee Bass would come out with a GIANT tall/deep spool that held 400yds of 80lb braid. I could have 2 spools and use one for tuna and the other for normal fishing with 20-30lb braid.
Rob, ya listening?
Ray, I wasn't dissing JDM, I was just mentioning that there is more than one way to skin a cat.
Distance is great when you need it, but usually, folks cast 100 yards too far and should be fishing that 20-50 yard area where the fish are in the early/late light.
I prefer bulletproof and watertight, but have some of the light, longcast specialty reels as well.
Now, if I could just throw 100 yards with my 50-SW

i use to promote those reels which can be proven by my previous posts, butif you'll check, i have since stoppped. i have learned that when people asks for "the best spinning reel" they are not prepared to spend to get the best.
seriously, when you say best longcast spinning reel, best loongcasting spinning rod, best etc... do you really think that the best spinning reel is a an emcast sport or the best spinning rod is an ugly stick or a tica? to me, when you say and look for the best for distance, i'd always equate it with the daiwa basia/tournament ss6000/9000 and th best rod being the zziplex. and i have stopped recommending it long time ago. i have learned that people wants the best, but they are not prepared to pay the price.
as you can see, i didn't recoomend to the OP anything. I was only pointing out that the AEMRICAN marketed LONG CASt spinning reels are stuck in the mud. You said that,

I was was only informing you that if you look into the JDM market you woulnd't have that problem. And there are on the JDM market with manual bails and tad more advance than what's being forced down our throat by the american market.

Can you throw out a few makes and models? I need something for an HDX I just picked up.

ya mine.. i can cast my 80vsw 900 yards... yes... i mean 900feet...

PS - As with all large spinning reels with large handles, remove the auto bail closure mechanism and close the bail by hand. If you don't, the bail will occasionally close in mid cast causing the line to snap. This is because the reel handle will revolve during the cast and it's inertia will sometimes trip the bail.

    Not ALL.
Broaden your search, look into the JDM market where ALL LONGCAST spinning reels are technologically advance, all have manual bails. once the bail is opened, the rotor will never turn.
What is being sold here in the US are the jurassic reels.
