There are so many reasons why Pinnacle fishing reels are a cut above the rest. Here are a few. First, all of Pinnacle baitcasting reels are equipped with their Super 10 Drag System. What is this drag system and why is it so unique? Well, the series of ten washers with alternating stainless steel and fiber materials are positioned in such a way that they disperse heat from the Pinnacle reel so as to give it a smoother and more powerful drag or pull.
The Optimus LTE is built like all the Pinnacle Optimus reels on an X-Bone pattern frame that maximizes strength and durability, while keeping weight at an absolute minimum. The X-Bone construction distributes the amount of critical stress equally to four points (just like a car chassis), ideally compensating for the entire weight load. This frame design and metal side covers increase rigidity and torque resistance too, allowing the gears to remain in perfect alignment at all times giving you smooth operation.
Sentara II: The Sentara gets redesigned for the 2008 season with a more compact palmable profile. The bearing count hasn't changed nor has the 120 dollar retail price. The reel makes use of a metal frame and gear box, an easy dial centrifugal brake system, unlimited anti-reverse, quick access removable side cover, and the same multi-stack Trulon drag washers found in the other Pinnacle reels. The Sentara II has almost the same identical frame as the Peak reels without some of the porting.
