I got a couple of comments about the US Reel supercaster when asking about line twist on a Stradic. Who is using them and how do they compare to your other reels? What are you using it for (line size and tactics)?
Occasionally you need a reel that allows long casts, and the US Reel Supercaster is built with a wide spool that allows for extra long casts. After the cast, a 29-inch line retrieval rate per turn quickly and efficiently reels the line back into the spool.
Two days of wade fishing is only the beginning of a test; I'll be giving it more duty in the coming weeks and months to determine long term durability. If this little number holds up as well as its spinning siblings it's going to be awesome. Look for a follow-up report and be sure to check out the US Reel SuperCaster 1000 Pro at the Houston Fishing Show.
